Bio

I am a content strategist and media executive fluent in a variety of media from traditional print magazines and newspapers to digital and social media as well as in-person and online events in both consumer and b-to-b industries.

After spending the first five years of my career in education and coaching, I transitioned to journalism, taking my ability to understand an audience’s needs and translating that into meaningful stories and content. I have overseen the development of more than 350 individual magazine issues, led content development for 20 national conferences, more than 85 regional events and hundreds of online events, and launched numerous digital media initiatives and brands.

I’ve received individual awards for editorial excellence and consistently been recognized for my ability to take complex information and data from a variety of sources to create compelling, innovative and entertaining content. As a departmental leader, I have guided teams that have collected more than two dozen awards for editorial excellence from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, American Business Media (now Connectiv) and Folio: Magazine.

In addition to digital and print content strategy and development, my work includes start-up and launch of new events and multimedia brands, including the creation of a research and advisory services division, development of an industry benchmarking program and award series, as well as the launch of a new publication that was recognized by American Business Media as one of the top three new magazines of 2008.

I have served as a keynote speaker and expert panelist on management and human capital from Florida to California and been quoted in the Chicago Tribune and Miami Herald.
